GigaFin RDX™ Architecture
The technology behind GigaFin products is the patented GigaFin Re-loadable Direct eXecution (RDX™) architecture, which is based on syntax-directed stream processing.
This means that network functions are coded as formal grammar that optimize semantic engines for network and security applications. With all of the flexibility of a general purpose processor and the performance of a dedicated ASIC, it is now possible to economically add intelligence to the network, without sacrificing performance or features.
As the market migrates towards richer content and faster speeds, this intelligence capability increases in value. Specifically, this technology brings users increased performance and functionality, new deployment opportunities and decreased system cost in low power, compact appliances.
GigaFin Networks has more than 20 patents to date with four of them granted so far.
